Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who we are

TruPeople HR ("we", "us") provides HR, attendance, and payroll software to businesses in the Philippines. This policy explains how we handle personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Data controller: [Company legal name], [address]. Data Protection Officer: [name, email].

2. Data we collect

Account data (name, email, organization); employee records your organization enters (names, government IDs, pay, attendance, leave, disciplinary notes); usage and device data; location data when an organization enables geo-tagged clock-in; and clock-in selfie photos when an organization enables photo attendance (used as attendance verification evidence for payroll review).

3. How we use it

To provide the service (attendance, DTR, payslips, people records), secure and support accounts, and comply with legal obligations. For employee data, your employer is the controller and we act as processor on their instructions.

4. Storage & security

Each organization's data is logically isolated. We use access controls and encryption in transit. Data is hosted with reputable cloud providers; [specify region]. We retain data for the life of the account and a reasonable period after, unless deletion is requested and legally permitted.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share only with sub-processors necessary to run the service (hosting, email delivery) and when required by law. The multi-company people registry is shared only within the group of companies you own — never across unrelated employers.

6. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you may access, correct, object to, or request deletion of your personal data, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Contact us at [privacy@trupeoplehr.com].
